These images are from a nest box occupied by a pair of Blue Tits in 2008. A new pair this year and nicknamed Leeloo and Dallas. Eight eggs where layed, seven hatched and all seven eventually fledged. The female Leeloo went missing in the last week leaving the male to feed and manage the chicks alone, which he did fantastically well.
The nest box was completely rebuilt this year to allow for an experimental side camera. This camera wasn't very high quality but provided some excellent views. Eight white LEDs and two IR leds where installed in the roof, along with the same IR and Colour cameras from the previous years.
